This page explains what information is collected when you register for a seminar or join the email list at anantacharya.com, how it is used, and how to remove yourself at any time.
The short version. Your email address is used to send you the material you asked for and related educational emails. It is never sold, rented or shared for marketing. You can unsubscribe with one click, from any email.
What is collected
When you register through a form on this site, the following is collected:
- Your email address — required, so the material can be sent to you
- Your first name — optional, used only to address you personally
- The IP address you registered from — recorded once, with the date, as the record of your consent. It is not used to identify you or find where you are.
- Technical information recorded automatically by the mailing software: the date you subscribed, and whether you opened or clicked emails sent to you
No payment details are collected on this site. No telephone number is requested.
How it is used
- To send you the seminar joining details, reminders and recording links you registered for
- To send related educational emails about market timing and analysis
- To let you know about programmes and materials that may be relevant to you
Every email includes a working unsubscribe link.
Consent
Registration uses double opt-in. After submitting the form you receive an email asking you to confirm. You are only added to the list once you click that link. If you do not confirm, nothing further is sent to you.
Where your information is stored
- The list itself is held in self-hosted mailing software (listmonk) on a private server controlled by Anant Acharya. It is not held on a third-party marketing platform.
- Email delivery is handled by SMTP2GO, which processes your email address solely to deliver messages sent to you.
- Address checking is done by Bouncer, which confirms that an email address is able to receive mail. Your address is sent to them at the moment you register, for that check and nothing else. No message is sent to you during it, and they do not keep your address for their own use.
- Live sessions are conducted on Zoom. If you attend, Zoom processes your information under its own privacy policy.
How long it is kept
Your information is kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your record is marked as unsubscribed and no further email is sent. You may ask for it to be deleted entirely.
If you unsubscribe, or if email to you fails permanently, your address is kept on a do-not-contact record. That record exists so that you are never written to again — including if an old file is ever imported by mistake. It is used for nothing else.

- See what is held about you — ask, and it will be sent to you
- Have it corrected or deleted — ask, and it will be done
What is never done
- Your information is never sold or rented
- It is never shared with third parties for their own marketing
- No individual investment advice is given, and no financial information is requested
